CITB NCC - Why should you become an Instructor
This is horrible and tragic. 😢
Actually applying to the tests in 2024 is far harder than actually doing the test
I started roofing when I was sixteen Labouring for five years nutting up on a bun plain tiles twenty five on me head all day long worked on tower bridge the I.g.a the roal mint so on so on I made the best mates in the world all great blokes blodey hard work but I've just retired sixty years old didn't want to shoulders knackered..knees knackered I'm knackered 😊😊..but I would do all again..if you gonna learn best way is hands on its the only way...all this crap God bless to all the roofers and good luck please fellas don't do what I do really want to go back but can't it's very upsetting...you don't get arthritis..you earn it...its really my own fault having nutting up competitions who can nut up the most tiles I did nut up twenty two deltas up a pole lader two blocks put em two take em of silly stuff like that we all did it..always nutting up fifteen 49s load a side out in less than an hour not rushing..so we were very fit...do a complete up an over in a day and half...they were the day...I've just seen the going Time for laying slates is about 150 two 250 that's not great myself and Terry atkins Tony furlong Clive quiten r.i.p Clivey we would lay a thousand a day each every day on price maybe more all depend on the money...but great great working men..lucky the ones who are left we still see each other I love my mates...up all the roofers good luck 👍

The USA is such a joke compared to England and so many other countries I see all over U tube. Standards are Non Existent and it’s So No Merit most of the time. I was in the bricklayers union way back from 80sTill a few years ago and watched Everything get Dumber and way more Corrupt and Politics Run out of control with all the liberal special needs affirmative action “ create a job “ Fake news Country Fake News union. I see apprentices in class on videos been there for 5 weeks and can’t even hold mud on the trowel or even really know how to hold it! Splashed up shit work Nobody is teaching Anyone anything Never see the instructor Do shit but talk. It’s Always the Clueless ones who get the teaching gigs in my area of Woke broken New York They have juice whether through nepotism favoritism cronyism whatever It doesn’t matter if they’re actually any good at it themselves! “ If you can’t do, Teach “ is the American way.
I learnt Bricklaying while on her majesty’s Service so as to get me out of my Cell and got a B+ and then became the Orderley
Don’t become a Brickie Become a Chippie

I am interested pls any one tell me tbm diploma course apply process
MAP test is so difficult! Some questions have no sense, and most of them are designed to get them wrong. Is stupid to ask "what is the segnificant difference..." When all answers are segnificant , depends on each point of view.

How much fee for test booking??
I don’t know why this isn’t a compulsory trade in Canada. Too many people just waking up deciding to be a painter and throw their ads on Kijiji just to basically open a paint can and toss it at the wall.
Thanks Simon and yes with the support you have from your wife , live your full life because there is your creator in heaven
What a load of shit , recognised in any country , in Australia different states don't recognise each other , so they'd hardly recognise your certificate
Any one can be a carpenter.🏗️🏘️

He should be compensated for this shambles you'd think like everyone else. Asbestos has been known to be dangerous since the 1930s at least but it was buried under the carpet by the big wigs, whom needed to make quick bucks and hoped that the disease would just only end up being a small problem down the line. Now it's everywhere of course. Problem is is that asbestos is still manufactured and used very frequently in the world, in countries like Russia, China and India.. even the US imports the stuff to this day. It's inevitable that it probably can still end up in the UK via less legal means I reckon.
This should be titled... "How to renew your CPCS Competent Operator (Blue) card using a logbook.... if your employed".... not helpful if your self employed or working for an agency, owner operator sole trader or out of work...employed category inst the majority any more .. who signs the rest of us ,our log books.. and who validates our form.....CITB a non policing agency charging for licences not needed by law.

Over 40 years of laying bricks on building sites and still have to go for a test 🤷🏻♂️
Hello @CITB, Thank you for sharing Simon's individual fate, which is one of many that will never be known. Because of the long latency period, the dangers posed by increased and prolonged exposure to asbestos are all too often underestimated. Also due to the long latency periods between exposure and the onset of an asbestos-related disease, the causal relationship is too often overlooked or not recognised due to a lack of education. Claims for compensation are correspondingly difficult and drain the strength of the already weakened plaintiffs and their families. That is why we strive to provide the best possible information to prevent the development of asbestos-related diseases. You can find more on the topic of asbestos and answers to the most important questions about the hazardous substance in our FAQs: ua-cam.com/play/PL_QB5G58bg2OWK8X3-0tsMBUShu5vrBBR.html Stay healthy!

When I was trained with CITB back in the mid seventies, we were told to always have a lightly turpy rag for cleaning hands, NOT wipe hands on overalls! That's when we were using oil paints.
3:40 Why don't you teach the boys to UNSCREW the switch plate instead of painint around them, the look here is SO unproffessional.
Wow !!! Powerful story. Thank you Simon your lovely wife and family. I hope you are alive today. Thanks to CITB for making this VIDEO. Im in the building industry for as long as Simon. CITB we need more POWERFULL messages like this NOW... John

Lost my Nana the same way, asbestos exposure for 30+ years. Hope this fella is comfy wherever he is
Sorry to hear, also this man is speaking truth. This commonly occurs where work establishments fail to provide awareness and PPE. There's no respect in this industry. I noticed you posted yesterday, is there anything new you have come across that's alerting?
Could the waste soil not be dumped in a ring around the sunken ammunition ship enabling water to be eventually pumped out around it and allowing a much better chance of safe recovery of this risk to London?
Don't worry about it I passed with 100% the first time, 98% four years later and I haven't been able to pass my last one but there's plenty of domestic work to put me on while I swat up again lol
Yo it's my dad his story how he met my mum is pretty complicated it took me a long time for me to understand
I've seen a piece of timber used as a level, cavity wall claim on a single skin wall,
I wish I could have done this years ago. I did do short course at ableskills in Kent, but it was over a few weekends and I wasn't really that good . But I gave it a try though. There was no test at the end and I paid out my own pocket, mainly through curiosity. I'm near retirement age now. If I had to learn something, I'd start with a small shed or something
I really want to do this sorta thing and get a hgv after
I wonder if they deconstructed a few courses to see how well the head and bed joints were filled.

How to join
